SSC GD 2026 Result: Assam Cut-Offs and the 27,158 Called for PET

By AssamJobDesk TeamPublished on

Out of 160, an Assam man in the UR category from a militancy-affected district needed 61.60 to reach the physical tests in the SSC GD Constable 2026 exam. That’s the area where most Assam candidates were counted. A UR man in Bihar’s general area needed 120.61. Altogether 27,158 people from Assam are on SSC’s lists for the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test (PET/PST): 24,988 men and 2,170 women.

Every Assam EWS man who reached the 40-mark minimum is through. There weren’t enough EWS candidates to fill those vacancies, so SSC used the minimum qualifying mark as the cut-off, as its result note explains.

This is a shortlist for the next stage, not a final result. It covers BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, the Secretariat Security Force and Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles. 21,56,776 people sat the computer-based exam between 27 April and 30 May 2026, and SSC declared this result on 12 October. More results are on the results page.

Your area comes from your home district, using the lists of border and militancy-affected districts in the exam notice (Annexures XI and XII). SSC counted people from those districts first against their own area’s vacancies, and then against the general ones.

SSC’s table also shows Part A, B and C marks next to each cut-off. Those are the scores of the last person shortlisted, used only to break ties, which is why a few of them are negative. They aren’t separate pass marks.

Both Lists Were Re-Uploaded on 23 October

If the first list showed you as UR even though you applied as SC, ST, OBC, EWS or ex-serviceman, that wasn’t a mistake. You scored high enough to qualify at the UR standard. After candidates complained, SSC re-uploaded List I (women) and List II (men) on 23 October with two columns: the category you applied in and the category you were counted under. Use the newer lists, linked below.

Three other groups are worth checking for. The results of 60 candidates are withheld (List III), and 88 debarred candidates weren’t processed (List IV). Separately, 13,231 people who moved states and chose their domicile state were treated as UR, and 246 of them made the cut.

NCC Bonus Is Already in the Cut-Off

NCC certificate holders got 8 marks for a C certificate, 4.8 for B and 3.2 for A, added before the cut-offs were set. Ex-servicemen get no NCC bonus. SSC calls the bonus provisional, so expect to show the certificate later.

PET and PST Call Letters Will Come From CRPF

The forces hold the physical tests, and CRPF, as the nodal force, will issue the call letters on rect.crpf.gov.in. When we checked on 30 October, the CRPF site had no GD 2026 notice and no PET date. Your marks and the final answer key will go into your login on ssc.gov.in later.

The women’s list alone runs to 318 landscape pages and the men’s file is about 26 MB. On mobile data, download it once and search for your roll number, not your name.

FAQs on the SSC GD 2026 Result

My score is above the Assam cut-off, but I can’t find my roll number.

Check the 23 October lists, since you may have been counted in a different category or area. Then check List III, the 60 withheld results. If you’re in neither, write to SSC through its website.

Do Assam Rifles candidates go through the same PET?

Yes. Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles is part of this exam, and CRPF is the nodal force issuing PET/PST call letters for all of them.

Checked against SSC’s result note No. HQ-C-3/2/2026-C-3 of 12 October 2026 (Annexures I and II), its clarification of 23 October 2026, Lists I and II, and the CRPF recruitment site on 30 October 2026.
