AssamJobDesk publishes job news, admit cards, results and related updates for Assam. You can read the whole site without an account. This page explains what is collected when you do, who else receives it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
We do not ask you for your name, phone number, email address or any document. There is no sign-up for readers, and we do not run a newsletter or send notifications.
Two things are recorded as you read:
- Page views. We count how many times each post is opened, so the site can show which updates readers are looking at most. The count is a number against a post — it is not tied to you, and we do not store your IP address alongside it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, including IP address and browser user agent, for security and to keep the site running.
Third-party services
Three outside services run on this site. Each one receives some data directly from your browser, under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdSense serves the advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to select ads and measure them, which may include ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites.
- Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they are, so we know which updates are worth publishing. It sets cookies and receives your IP address.
- Sentry records technical details when a page fails — the error, the page it happened on, and your browser and device type — so we can fix it. We do not send your name or contact details to Sentry, because we do not hold them.
Advertising and cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites.
You can turn personalised advertising off:
- Through Google Ads Settings, which controls the ads Google shows you across the web.
- Through aboutads.info, which covers other vendors as well.
- By blocking or clearing cookies in your browser settings. The site still works with cookies blocked; only the ads and the visit counts are affected.

Links to other sites
Most posts link out to an official notification, an application form or a results portal run by a government department or recruiting body. Those sites are not ours. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, and you should read it before entering personal details or paying a fee.
Children
This site is aimed at people applying for jobs and admissions. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Your choices
Because we do not hold an account or a contact detail for you, there is no profile here to export or delete. What you can control is the data the third-party services above receive: clear or block cookies in your browser, use the opt-out links in the advertising section, or use your browser's private mode.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page and the “last updated” date at the top changes with it. Substantial changes will not be applied retroactively to data already collected.
