SSC NER NE10425 Final Scrutiny List 2026 — Laboratory Attendant, CGWB

By AssamJobDesk TeamPublished on

The SSC NER NE10425 final scrutiny list is out, and it is a hard one to read if you applied. Of the 58 candidates whose documents the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) checked for the post of Laboratory Attendant, Group 'C', only one is provisionally accepted. The other 57 are provisionally rejected, almost all of them over the experience certificate.

This post is for you if you sat the Phase-XIII/2025 Selection Posts exam, were shortlisted for Post Category NE10425, and uploaded your documents in February or March 2026. If you did not apply for this post, you can skip it, though the rejection reasons are worth a look if you plan to apply for a Laboratory Attendant post in a later phase.

What the SSC NER Notice Says

The Staff Selection Commission, North Eastern Region (SSC NER), Guwahati, put the notice on its website on 1 October 2026. The notice itself carries no date of its own. It says "Date: as per publication", so 1 October is the date that counts. It publishes the scrutiny report the Central Ground Water Board sent by letter No. 11-13/2026-Sci.Estt-4048, dated 28 September 2026.

CGWB sits under the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti. The department, not SSC, decides at this stage whether your certificates meet the recruitment rules. SSC only publishes what the department sends back.

The list gives, for each candidate, the registration number, roll number, name, date of birth, gender, category, scrutiny status and, if rejected, the reason. Open the PDF from the Important Links table and search it for your roll number. That is quicker than scrolling 58 rows on a phone.

One Accepted, 57 Rejected

The single provisionally accepted candidate is in the EWS category. The post was advertised in June 2025 with 4 vacancies (2 UR, 1 OBC, 1 EWS) at Pay Level 1, with an age limit of 18 to 27 years and Matriculation (10th) as the listed qualification. One accepted name against four vacancies means most of those seats have nobody cleared for them on this list. The notice does not say what happens to the rest.

Here is how the 57 rejections break down, counted from the reasons printed against each name:

Reason given in the noticeCandidates
Experience certificate not submitted40
Private lab not NABL accredited, and experience not in water analysis12
Experience not in water analysis2
Private lab not NABL accredited1
Experience from a private unaided college without NABL accreditation1
Experience certificate mandatory as per the recruitment rule1
Total rejected57

Every one of the 57 rejections is about experience. Not one is about age, category or the 10th certificate.

Why the Experience Certificate Decided It

Here is the odd part. The vacancy table in the Phase-XIII advertisement lists the qualification for NE10425 simply as "Matriculation (10th)". If that table was all you read, you would not know experience was needed. For the full requirements, the advertisement sent you to the post-wise details on the SSC website, and this notice confirms that the recruitment rule makes an experience certificate mandatory.

The advertisement was clear on the rule in general, though. Where experience is an essential qualification, you had to fill the experience column in the form and upload a certificate from a competent authority after the exam, or your candidature would be rejected. Experience gained during a course, internship or training does not count. The cut-off date for age, qualification and experience was 1 August 2025.

Reading the reasons together, the department looked for three things:

  • An experience certificate at all. Forty candidates did not upload one.
  • Experience in water analysis, not general lab work.
  • Experience from a lab with NABL accreditation (the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories), where the lab is private.

If you plan to apply for a CGWB Laboratory Attendant post in a later SSC phase, sort this out before you apply, not after the exam. Get a certificate that names water analysis work and shows the lab's NABL status. If the scan is too large for the upload form, our free PDF compressor can shrink it without making it unreadable.

What Happens Next for the NE10425 Candidates

For the one accepted candidate, the next stage is Document Verification (DV). The notice says the date, time and venue will be announced shortly. Under the Phase-XIII rules, SSC NER issues the DV admission certificate on its own website, in consultation with the department, so check sscner.org.in rather than waiting for an SMS. See how SSC NER handled a recent DV schedule for NE11525 to get a sense of the notice you are waiting for.

At DV you bring the originals of everything you uploaded, along with two recent passport-size colour photos and an original photo ID. If you claimed EWS, the advertisement treats 1 August 2025 as the crucial date for the income and asset certificate, in the format the notice prescribes. Our guide to getting an EWS certificate in Assam covers the income and asset rules. For SC, ST or OBC claims, see how to apply for a caste certificate in Assam.

If You Were Rejected

This notice does not open a grievance window. That is different from the NE11325 provisional list, which gave candidates a deadline to write in. It also calls itself final, which reads as the department's settled view.

The notice does print the department's address: Senior Administrative Officer, Central Ground Water Board, Bhujal Bhawan, NH-IV, Faridabad-121001. If you are sure you uploaded a valid water-analysis experience certificate and it was marked "not submitted", write there with your registration number, roll number and a copy of what you uploaded. Nothing in the notice promises a review, so keep your expectations low.

Treat any message offering to "restore" your candidature for a fee as a scam. Updates on this post come only from official recruitment websites, here sscner.org.in and ssc.gov.in.
