Useful when a form wants an image rather than a document, or when you need one page out of a long notice to send on. A single page downloads as that image; more than one comes back as a ZIP, because a browser only reliably grants one download at a time.
Pick the detail by what the image is for: Normal is enough for reading on a screen or sending on WhatsApp, High is for printing or an upload that will be checked closely. You can stop a long conversion part-way and keep what was done.

Convert and download. One page saves as an image; several arrive as a numbered ZIP so they stay in order in your file manager.
JPG for anything you are sending or uploading — it is several times smaller than PNG and forms usually ask for it. PNG for a page of small text you need to stay crisp, or where you will edit the image afterwards. WebP is smaller still than JPG at the same quality, but some government portals reject it, so use it only where you know it is accepted.
Because your PDF had more than one page. A browser blocks a page that tries to start twenty downloads at once, so they arrive together in one archive. Any file manager on Android, and Explorer on Windows, will open it without extra software.
Up to 200 in one go. Each page becomes a full-size image in memory, so at High detail — PNG especially — a long PDF can run the phone out of memory sooner. If that happens the tool stops with a message naming the page it reached, rather than freezing; lower the detail, or split the PDF and convert it in parts.
Not directly — every page is converted. But a single-page PDF gives you one image, so if you only need page 5, use a PDF splitter or your PDF viewer’s print-to-PDF on that page first, then convert the result here.
No. The pages are rendered by your own browser and never leave your device. There is no server to receive the file and nothing is stored — closing the page is enough.
