IIT Guwahati Housekeeping: 1 Post, No Qualification, ₹7,500 a Month

₹7,500 won’t stretch far once you pay for a daily commute, so this suits someone who lives close to the campus in North Guwahati.

Applying Through the R&D Portal

A job with no education requirement still goes through IIT Guwahati’s research recruitment portal, so if you aren’t used to online forms, sit down with someone who is, well before the 6th.

1. Open the R&D recruitment portal (linked below as Online Application).
2. Search for the project “Financial Assistance for setting up Electronics & ICT Academies”.
3. Apply for the Housekeeping post and follow the portal’s instructions to submit.

The advertisement number is IITG/II&SI/Project Staff Rectt-2026/158, in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. If the form gives trouble, write to proman@iitg.ac.in.

The portal opened for us the first time we tried on 30 October and showed a “502 Bad Gateway” error a few minutes later. If you see that, try again later, and don’t leave it to the last evening.

Offline Interview, or an Online Link?

The notice says the interview is offline, at the E&ICT Academy in the Technology Complex. Further down, it says shortlisted people will get the “online link of the interview” by email. Selection depends only on the interview, so watch your email and the portal’s application status. If you’re shortlisted and the email doesn’t say which it is, ask Prof. Gaurav Trivedi, the project head, at trivedi@iitg.ac.in or 0361-2582536. No travel allowance is paid.

Other openings are on the jobs page.
