IBPS PO 2026 Notification

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducted the Common Recruitment Process for the selection of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees, CRP PO/MT-XVI, to fill 6,715 vacancies in participating public sector banks. The vacancies are for the 2027 financial year.

Online registration, including editing and modification of the application, ran from 1 July 2026 to 21 July 2026, with fee payment open across the same dates.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

A degree (graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.

The candidate must be a graduate on the day of registration, and must state the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering online, calculated to the nearest two decimals.

Age Limit

Minimum 20 years, maximum 30 years — that is, born not earlier than 2 July 1996 and not later than 1 July 2006, both dates inclusive.

IBPS PO Application Fee

Bank transaction charges for online payment are borne by the candidate. Payment was accepted online only.

IBPS PO Selection Process

Selection runs in three stages, which is the standard IBPS pattern and is unlikely to change materially in the next cycle:

1. Preliminary Examination — online, one hour duration.
2. Main Examination — online, for candidates who clear the preliminary.
3. Interview — for candidates who clear the main examination.

The interview carries 100 marks. Cut-offs depend on the number of vacancies available. Candidates are not permitted to appear for the online preliminary examination without the required documents.

Note that the preliminary examination is qualifying only — the final merit is built from the main examination and the interview.

Complete your graduation and know your exact percentage — it is asked at registration. Watch the age window, since the cut-off shifts by a year each cycle.
