UCO Bank Apprentice 2026: 24 Seats in Assam at ₹16,650 a Month

By AssamJobDesk TeamPublished on

A year of paid training at ₹16,650 a month is on offer to 24 graduates in Assam, out of UCO Bank’s 530 apprentice seats across the country, and both the registration and the fee payment close on 29 October 2026. The degree must have been completed on or after 1 April 2022, so an older graduate is out whatever their marks.

24 Assam Seats, and You Only Compete in Assam

The Assam seats split as 10 unreserved, 7 OBC, 4 ST, 2 EWS and 1 SC. One is earmarked for a candidate with an orthopaedic disability.

You can apply for one state only, preferably your home state, and the merit list is drawn up state by state. If you pick Assam, you’re ranked only against others who picked Assam.

Age 20 to 28 on 1 October 2026

By our count, general and EWS applicants must be born between 2 October 1997 and 1 October 2006. SC and ST applicants get 5 years more, OBC (non-creamy layer) 3, and PwBD 10 to 15 depending on category. Widowed, divorced or legally separated women who haven’t remarried can apply up to 35 (38 for OBC, 40 for SC and ST). The age calculator will settle it if you’re close to a limit.

Who Can’t Apply

  • Anyone who graduated before 1 April 2022.
  • Anyone who has already done an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, with UCO Bank or anywhere else, or is doing one now.
  • Anyone with a year or more of training or job experience after graduating.

A Local Language Test, Unless Your Marksheet Covers It

You must be able to read, write, speak and understand a local language of the state you apply for. The test is held at document verification, and failing it ends your chances. If your Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet shows you studied that language, you skip the test. The notice does not list which languages count for Assam.

Two Portals Before 29 October

  1. Register as a student on the NATS portal and apply to UCO Bank’s advertisement after logging in. Write down your NATS enrolment ID.
  2. Wait for an email from BFSI Sector Skill Council (info@bfsissc.com). It asks for your category and your choice of districts for training, and links to the fee payment.
  3. Pay and complete those details on the BFSI SSC portal by 29 October 2026.

The fee is ₹800 plus GST for general, EWS and OBC men, ₹600 plus GST for women and transgender applicants in those categories, and ₹200 plus GST for SC, ST and PwBD applicants. NATS asks for a scanned photo and signature. If its size limit rejects yours, the image resizer can fix that.

I opened UCO Bank’s careers page on 17 October. It listed earlier apprentice selection lists, but I couldn’t find this advertisement on it, so go by the PDF linked below (Advt. No. HO/HRM/RECR/2026-27/COM-02, dated 13 October 2026).

The test is online, at 11 AM, in English or Hindi, and your login details arrive by email the day before. You need 40 to qualify if you’re general or EWS, 35 if SC, ST, OBC or PwBD. On a tie, the older candidate ranks higher.

What the ₹16,650 Is Made Of

UCO Bank pays ₹10,500 a month into your account, and the government’s ₹6,150 share comes separately by DBT. There are no other allowances. Training hours follow the bank’s clerical staff, and the apprenticeship gives you no claim to a regular job.
