Prelims Admit Card (Released 15 June 2026)

The APSC CCE 2026 prelims admit card was published on 15 June 2026 for the examination held on 5 July 2026. If you sat the prelims and still need the admit card for your records, it may remain available on the APSC portal for a limited time. To download it:

  1. Go to the APSC website at apsc.nic.in and open the recruitment portal (apscrecruitment.in).
  2. Find the "Call Letters / Admit Cards" link on the homepage.
  3. Select the link for the CCE Preliminary Examination 2026.
  4. Enter your application number or registration number and your date of birth.
  5. Check that your name, photo, roll number and centre are correct, then download and print the PDF.

If any detail on the admit card was wrong, that had to be raised with APSC before the exam. Nothing can be corrected now that the prelims are over.

Prelims Result (Declared 30 July 2026)

APSC declared the CCE Prelims 2026 result on 30 July 2026, about 25 days after the exam. The result is a PDF that lists only the roll numbers of candidates who qualified for the Main Examination — around 958 roll numbers in all. There are no marks or ranks in the prelims result; the prelims is a screening test and its marks are not counted towards the final merit.

To check your result, open the result PDF on apsc.nic.in and search for your prelims roll number. If your roll number is in the list, you were eligible to fill the Mains Detailed Application Form (DAF). You can also see the full list of qualified candidates in the latest results section.

Prelims Exam Pattern

The APSC CCE Preliminary Examination is an objective screening test held in a single day across district headquarters in Assam. It has two papers:

PaperSubjectQuestionsMarksDuration
Paper IGeneral Studies I1002002 hours
Paper IIGeneral Studies II802002 hours

There is a penalty of one-fourth of the marks for each wrong answer. Paper II is a qualifying paper with a minimum of 33 per cent required; the merit for the prelims is drawn from Paper I.

Mains Examination and Admit Card

The Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2026 is scheduled for 9, 10 and 11 October 2026 at Guwahati, in two shifts each day. The Mains notification came out on 31 July 2026 and the online Detailed Application Form (DAF) was open from 4 August to 24 August 2026, with the fee payment window closing on 26 August 2026. Only candidates who qualified in the prelims could apply.

The APSC CCE Mains 2026 admit card has not been released yet. APSC normally publishes Mains call letters about a week before the exam, so expect it in the first week of October 2026. When it is out, download it the same way as the prelims admit card — through the "Call Letters / Admit Cards" link on apsc.nic.in, using your application number and date of birth. This post will be updated with the direct link once the Mains admit card is live.

The Mains is a descriptive examination — an essay paper and a set of General Studies papers, each of three hours — followed by an interview of 180 marks. Marks from the Mains and the interview together decide the final merit list for the 78 posts; the prelims marks do not count. Check the official Mains notification for the exact paper list and marks.

What to Carry to the Exam Centre

For any APSC CCE examination you must carry a clear printout of your admit card on A4 paper and an original photo identity document — Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, driving licence or passport. A photo on your phone is not accepted. Carry a couple of recent passport-size photographs as well, in case the invigilator asks for one. Reach the centre well before the reporting time printed on your admit card; gates close before the exam starts and late candidates are not allowed in.

Documents You May Need

Filling the Mains DAF and the later document verification both need scanned copies within a size limit — usually a photo, signature, and certificates for age, category and educational qualification. If a scan or photo of yours is over the allowed size, you can bring it down with the compress PDF tool or the resize image tool before you upload. To confirm you are within the age limit for the post on the cut-off date, use the age calculator.

Always download admit cards, results and notices from APSC's own website. Aggregator "download" links have pointed to the wrong place before. The official website is apsc.nic.in and the application portal is apscrecruitment.in. Direct links for each stage are in the Important Links table below.
