BCPL Non-Executive Recruitment 2026 — 24 Foreman, Operator and Technician Posts, Apply by 9 October

This is one of the few permanent PSU openings in upper Assam this year, and every post is in a technical or industrial trade — a diploma, a B.Sc, or a matric-plus-ITI qualification is enough to apply, with two years of relevant experience for most posts. BCPL Non-Executive Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

The advertisement lists 21 regular non-executive posts across two grades. Grade S-5 posts are supervisory (Foreman, Junior Superintendent); Grade S-3 posts are shop-floor (Operator, Technician). A separate table reserves three trainee posts for persons with benchmark disabilities.

The three posts reserved for PwBD candidates are trainee positions in Grade S-3: Operator (Chemical) Trainee (1, for a candidate who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing), Technician (Mechanical) Trainee (1, for a candidate with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, specific learning disability, mental illness or a combination), and Accounts Assistant Trainee (1, for a candidate who is Blind or has Low Vision). Each is taken on as a trainee for at least one year on a stipend of Rs 21,000 before regularisation.

Educational qualification and experience

Trainee posts carry the same qualification as the matching regular post; the Accounts Assistant Trainee needs a B.Com with at least 50% and English typing at 40 w.p.m. on a computer. Diploma and ITI qualifications must be recognised by the respective State Board of Technical Education or the State Council for Technical and Vocational Training. SC, ST and PwBD candidates get a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks (55% becomes 50%, 50% becomes 45%), subject to reserved vacancies being available.

Age limit

The upper age limit is reckoned as on 9 October 2026, the closing date. For unreserved vacancies it is 32 years for the S-5 posts (Foreman, Junior Superintendent) and 30 years for the S-3 posts (Operator, Technician) and the trainee posts.

Category relaxations for SC / ST / OBC apply only to posts reserved for those categories; a reserved-category candidate applying against an unreserved post competes on the general standard with no age or marks relaxation. The maximum age after all relaxations cannot exceed 56 years. Pay and Emoluments

Selected candidates are on probation for one year and draw the initial basic pay of the grade:

• Grade S-5 (Foreman, Junior Superintendent): Rs 28,500–86,570
• Grade S-3 (Operator, Technician): Rs 25,000–81,430
• Trainee posts: stipend of Rs 21,000 during the one-year training

On top of basic pay, BCPL pays Industrial Dearness Allowance, perquisites at 35% of basic pay, a North-East allowance of 10% of basic pay for staff posted in the region, HRA, conveyance reimbursement, medical facility, a post-retirement medical scheme and a defined-contribution pension, all as per company rules.

Application Fee

The fee is Rs 200 for General, EWS and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, paid online through the payment gateway on the application portal. SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempt, on production of the relevant certificate at the selection stage. The fee is non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to a future recruitment.

How to Apply for BCPL Non-Executive Recruitment 2026

Applications are accepted online only, through www.bcplonline.co.in. There is no offline form, and BCPL does not want a hard copy of the application. You may apply for one post only — if you submit more than one application, only the latest is considered.

1. Keep ready a valid email ID (it must stay active for at least a year and cannot be changed once entered), a passport-size photograph and a signature scanned as JPG or JPEG under 50 KB, and your certificates scanned as JPG or PDF under 200 KB each.
2. Go to bcplonline.co.in, open the Careers section and register for Advt. No. BCPL-NE/06/2026.
3. Fill in your personal, category, qualification and experience details exactly as they appear on your certificates. Enter your name as it is on your matriculation certificate.
4. Upload the photograph, signature and supporting documents. 5. Pay the Rs 200 fee online, unless you are exempt. Transaction charges, if any, are borne by the candidate.
6. Submit, then download the system-generated registration slip and pay-in slip and keep a copy of the completed form with its unique sequence number.

Documents Required

• Print-out of the online application with two recent passport-size photographs and your signature
• Class 10 certificate / birth certificate / board admit card as proof of date of birth
• All marksheets and certificates from matriculation onwards, including the diploma, degree or ITI certificate for the post
• Post-qualification experience certificates — an appointment letter with date of joining plus a relieving order or last pay slip, or an experience letter on company letterhead stating roles, designation and dates
• Caste / tribe certificate for SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS candidates in the prescribed Government of India format (OBC-NCL certificate preferably issued within the last year)
• Benchmark disability certificate for PwBD candidates, in the format prescribed under GSR 591(E) dated 15 June 2017
• Ex-Servicemen proof, where applicable
• No-Objection Certificate or an application forwarded through proper channel, for candidates already in Government / PSU / autonomous-body service

BCPL Non-Executive Selection Process

Candidates who meet every eligibility condition, going by what they entered in the online form, are called for selection. Depending on the number of applicants, BCPL runs a single-stage or multi-stage process, and if the response is large it may raise the eligibility bar to shortlist a workable number.

The selection process consists of a Skill Test, Proficiency Test, Endurance Test and Written Test, in the combination BCPL decides for each post; the exact scheme is communicated before the process begins. There is no interview mentioned in the advertisement. Appointment is subject to a medical fitness examination against the standards prescribed for the post, including an eye-power standard: for technical posts, myopia (including cylinder) must not exceed -4.00D and hypermetropia (including cylinder) must not exceed +4.00D in each eye.
