Bank of India, a leading public sector bank with its head office in Mumbai at Star House, Bandra-Kurla Complex, has invited applications for the recruitment of officers in various streams up to Scale IV, under Project No. 2026-27/02 dated 1 August 2026.

The streams advertised are specialist roles — among them Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Supply Chain and Trade Finance Technology, and Digital Banking Operations — across the Chief Manager and other officer scales. The number of posts in each stream, and the reservation for each, is set out in the vacancy table of the official notification; check that table for your stream before applying, as the counts differ substantially between them.

The designation and name of the posts is indicative as per the respective scale, and the bank may deploy an officer according to its requirement.

Age, qualification and experience are all reckoned as on 1 August 2026, not as on the closing date. That is the date to measure yourself against.

Basic pay by scale, plus allowances and perquisites as applicable:

Higher scales follow the standard bank officer pay structure. In addition to basic pay, officers receive Dearness Allowance, HRA and the other allowances and perquisites applicable under bank rules.

Bank of India Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

The fee is non-refundable, and inclusive of GST. Bank transaction charges for online payment are borne by the candidate. Payment is accepted only between 10 and 25 September 2026, and the fee dates will not be extended. Payment by demand draft is not accepted.

Submit only one application. If you register more than once, only the latest valid completed application is retained, and the fee paid on the others is forfeited without refund.

Bank of India Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Where an online examination and interview are both conducted, selection works like this:

• An online test and a personal interview, with weightage in a 60:40 ratio.
• The online examination score is the mark obtained in the Professional Knowledge paper.
• A candidate must be found suitable in both the online examination and the interview to be eligible for final selection.
• A merit list is drawn in descending order of combined marks, separately for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and General, and selection is made from it up to the number of vacancies.

Whether the online examination is held at all depends on the number of applicants and eligible candidates. Where it is not held, shortlisting is on qualification, experience and overall suitability for the post, followed by interview.

1. Go to the Bank of India website and open the recruitment link for Project No. 2026-27/02.
2. Register and fill in the online application form with your personal, academic and experience details.
3. Upload the scanned photograph, signature and documents to the specifications in the notification. Scans must be prepared in the prescribed format.
4. Pay the fee online — Rs 1,180, or Rs 175 if you are SC, ST or PwBD.
5. Submit before 25 September 2026 and keep a copy of the submitted application.

Have a valid photo ID ready — PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, permanent driving licence or voter's card — as one is required at the examination and interview stages.

These are specialist officer posts, not general banking entry roles. The streams are technical — full-stack engineering, digital platforms, trade finance technology, digital banking operations — so the Professional Knowledge paper carries the whole examination weight. Preparation means depth in your own stream rather than the general aptitude syllabus of a PO exam.

Two dates matter and they are different. Applications run 10 to 25 September 2026, but eligibility is measured as on 1 August 2026 — so a qualification completed in late August does not count.

There is no domicile restriction, so candidates from Assam apply on the same terms as anyone else, with postings anywhere in the bank's network.
