Indian Army TES-57: 90 Cadet Seats, Form Closes at Noon on 12 Nov

By AssamJobDesk TeamPublished on

The Army’s TES-57 form shuts at 12 noon on 12 November 2026, not at midnight, so treat 11 November as your real last day. It is open to unmarried men who passed Class 12 with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and sat JEE Main 2026, and there are 90 seats on the course starting in July 2027.

Those selected train for four years, earn an engineering degree, and are commissioned as Lieutenants. For other openings, see the latest jobs.

Born Between 1 January 2008 and 1 January 2011

Both dates count. That is the 16½ to 19½ limit on 1 July 2027, when the course starts. Only the date on your Class 10 certificate is accepted, and an admit card, marksheet or school leaving certificate won’t do as proof. The age calculator helps if you’re close to either end.

You must stay unmarried until training ends. A cadet who marries after applying is not taken, and one who marries during training is discharged and must repay the cost.

Class 12 Gets You In, JEE Main Decides the Call

The 60% is the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Maths in Class 12 alone, whatever your board. Having appeared in JEE Main 2026 is compulsory, and the Army fixes its shortlisting cut-off on the JEE Main Common Rank List. The cut-off is expected in the fourth week of November 2026.

SSB Only in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar

None of the four selection centres is in the Northeast. Once shortlisted, you log in and pick your SSB centre and date, first come first served, and they can’t be changed after that. Check the site the day the cut-off is out, and plan the train journey early.

The SSB runs up to five days, between February and March 2027, in two stages. Anyone who fails Stage I is sent home the same day. Those recommended go for a medical at the nearest military hospital. The final merit list is based only on SSB marks.

Bring a printout of your online application, your Class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth, your Class 12 certificate and marksheet, and your JEE Main 2026 result, with two sets of self-attested copies. A revised marksheet issued after the closing date is not accepted.

Four Years, a B.Tech and a Commission

Training is three years at a Cadets Training Wing and one at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. The wings teach civil and mechanical engineering at CME Pune (Corps of Engineers), telecom and IT at MCTE Mhow (Corps of Signals), and electrical and mechanical engineering at MCEME Secunderabad (EME). You list three choices after the SSB recommends you.

A stipend of ₹56,100 a month starts after three years. On commission as a Lieutenant you move to pay Level 10 (₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500) plus ₹15,500 Military Service Pay.

When I opened joinindianarmy.nic.in on 17 October, the officer login page asked for a captcha before anything else. Keep the password you set, because the same login is used later to choose your SSB centre and date.
