Only the Quarter Master job is regular, with NPS and gratuity. The others are contract jobs on a consolidated salary. Most run for up to three years, renewed each year after a performance review, with a one-month break after every 11 months. The Office Superintendent, System Administrator and Horse Riding Instructor posts are for 11 months only.
Teachers, the Band Master, the PTI-cum-Matron and the Ward Boys get a room and meals in the cadets’ mess, as applicable. The other posts get accommodation on campus.
Age 18 to 50 on 12 November 2026
The upper limit is 50 for every post. The lower limit is 21 for the three teachers and 18 for the rest, all counted on 12 November 2026. For the non-teaching posts, anyone born between 13 November 1976 and 12 November 2008 is inside the limit. Teachers must also be born on or before 12 November 2005. Close to either edge? Rules That Knock People Out
A B.Sc (Hons) in Physics or Chemistry does not qualify you for TGT Mathematics, even with a B.Ed. You need Mathematics through all three years, Physics for at least one, and one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics for at least one.
Both TGT posts need a CTET or STET pass. For PGT Physics it is only desirable.

A One-Hour Written Test First
Shortlisted applicants sit a one-hour written test on general knowledge, general English, basic mathematics and the subject of the post. Those who clear it go on to a class demonstration or skill test and an interview. Dates will be sent by email. No TA/DA is paid, and the notice asks you to be ready to stay an extra day at your own arrangement.
I opened the school’s Vacancy page on 14 October. It carries only this one advertisement and no corrigendum. The application form is not a separate download. It is pages 10 to 13 of the same PDF, so print those four pages, fill them in, and write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF” followed by the post name and “(REGULAR)” or “(CONTRACTUAL)” on the envelope.

The notice does not say. Each envelope has to name one post, so if you try for two, send two complete applications, each with its own DD.
Do I need to be from Assam?
No. The school invites Indian citizens. Only the PTI-cum-Matron post asks you to speak and understand Assamese.
