Samagra Shiksha Assam: 68 Special Education Posts, Upper Age 62

The apply link on the mission’s notice page was dead when I checked it at 9:40 AM on 14 October, the second day of the window. It points to recruitment-ssa.assam.gov.in/tztsief26, which returned “404 - File or directory not found”, and the portal’s home page showed only a blank Windows server page. The notice says the link will be available on ssa.assam.gov.in, so check back there over the next few days.

23 ARP, 34 AARP and 11 Special Educator Posts

Pay is a fixed monthly amount and the first engagement is for 11 months. The notice says the posts will not be regularised and holders will not be absorbed into any Assam government job later.

Who Can Apply for Each Post

All three need a degree in any subject. ARP and AARP also need a one-year Diploma in Special Education in any category of disability. Special Educator takes that diploma or a Special B.Ed. Whichever you hold, the RCI CRR number has to be valid, so renew it before you apply if it has lapsed.

AARP is the only post open to a fresher with the diploma. ARP asks for three years of work in disability, SSA or DPEP, and Special Educator asks for five.

For ARP and AARP the notice gives priority to women with a disability, to siblings of a disabled person, and to people who have a child with a disability, as long as they hold the qualification.

Age 18 to 62, Proved Only by Your HSLC Papers

Age is counted as on 1 January 2026. Anyone born between 2 January 1964 and 1 January 2008 is inside the limit. If you were born earlier than that, work out your exact age on 1 January 2026 with the age calculator before you start the form.

The only proof of age the notice accepts is the HSLC (Class 10) admit card or pass certificate. If Aadhaar shows a different birth date, the HSLC date is the one that counts.

No Fee Mentioned, and a 50% Bar at Interview

The notice mentions no application fee. Eligible applicants are called to a test or interview, with the date and time sent to them separately. Marks cover general awareness, personality and aptitude, the subject, and relevant experience, and you need at least 50% of the total to be shortlisted.

Certificates of qualification and experience are uploaded on the portal, and no correction is allowed after you submit. Phone scans of several pages get large, so run them through the PDF compressor first. The notice does not state an upload size limit.
