The National Institute of Technology Silchar is recruiting for the following position:

Eligibility and Qualification

To be eligible for the Project Assistant post, candidates must meet the following qualification:

• A 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute or university.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for this recruitment is 35 years as on 09 October 2026. Age relaxation will be provided for SC, ST, OBC, Women, and PWD candidates. This relaxation will be as per Government of India Rules. You can use an age calculator to check your exact age on the cut-off date.

Salary

Selected candidates for the Project Assistant position will receive a monthly salary of Rs 15,000. Candidates will also be eligible for H.R.A. (House Rent Allowance) as per the Project or Institute norms. This applies if accommodation is not provided by the Institute.

Selection Process

The selection for the NIT Silchar Project Assistant post will involve two main stages:
