DLRS Assam Recruitment 2026: 579 LRA Posts, Only for RCCC Holders

This is not an open call. Only people who have passed the six-month Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre can apply. If you do not hold an RCCC pass certificate, skip this one. The latest government jobs in Assam and our ADRE guide cover state posts that need only a school or college qualification.

DLRS Assam Vacancy 2026: Posts by Category

All 579 posts are for one role, Land Record Assistant, under the amalgamated establishment of the District Commissioners' offices. The notice leaves out Sixth Schedule areas, so there are no posts in the Bodoland Territorial Region (Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Udalguri and Tamulpur), Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong or Dima Hasao. The split below is what the District Commissioners reported to the Directorate.

Of these, 16 posts are kept for persons with disabilities (7 PH-A, 3 PH-B, 4 PH-C and 2 PH-D) and 6 for ex-servicemen. They are counted inside the 579, not added to it.

This Is a Re-advertisement

The Directorate first advertised these posts on 14 March 2026 under No. DLR-11013(21)/50/2025/130. The new notice, No. DLR-11013(21)/50/2025/372, cancels that one and invites applications afresh. If you applied in March, apply again.

The fresh round follows a government notification of 13 August 2026 that relaxed the Assam Land Records Subordinate Service Rules, 2023 for this recruitment. That date decides who is eligible.

Land Record Assistant Eligibility

The only qualification the notice names is the RCCC. There is no separate degree or HS requirement.

• RCCC: you must have passed the Recorders Certificate Class Course at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40, and been declared proficient in both Survey and Settlement subjects in a result issued by the Director of Land Records & Surveys. That result must have come out before 13 August 2026. If you passed after that date, you cannot apply this round.
• Computer typing: at least 30 words per minute in English and 15 in Assamese or Bengali. The skill test checks this.
• Government employees: apply through proper channel and bring a No Objection Certificate from your head of department to document verification.

You will be asked for certificates of every exam from HSLC onwards at verification, so keep your HSLC certificate ready even though it is not the qualifying exam.

DLRS Assam Age Limit

You must be between 21 and 40 years old as on 1 January 2026. That means a date of birth from 2 January 1985 to 1 January 2005, both days included. Your date of birth is read from your Class X or Class XII admit card, pass certificate or mark sheet. The age calculator gives your exact age on that date.

Reserved categories get age relaxation under Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51 of 2 September 2020. The advertisement cites that order but does not print the years for each category. You need a valid category certificate to claim it. See how to get a caste certificate in Assam if yours is not ready.

LRA Salary and Pay Scale

The post is in Pay Band-2, Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000, with Grade Pay of Rs 6,200, plus the usual allowances under Assam government rules. The notice does not give a fixed monthly figure.

Exam Pattern and Qualifying Marks

Selection is a 100-mark process in two parts. There is no interview. Some job sites list 21 October 2026 as an interview date. That is the last date to apply.

The written test takes off 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, so leave a question blank rather than guess blind. To qualify, UR candidates need 50% in each part (40 of 80 in the written test and 10 of 20 in the skill test). OBC/MOBC, ST (P), ST (H), SC and PwD candidates need 40% (32 and 8).

1. Applications are screened and a shortlist is published.
2. Shortlisted candidates sit the written MCQ test.
3. Those who reach the qualifying marks, in a ratio the Selection Board sets, take the skill test.
4. Candidates shortlisted after the skill test go to document verification.
5. The final merit list adds written and skill test marks, with category-wise reservation.

Exam dates are not out yet. The notice also says posts may stay unfilled if not enough candidates reach the qualifying marks.

How to Apply Online for DLRS Assam Recruitment 2026

The form is online only. No other mode is accepted. The notice does not mention an application fee, and the portal's instructions show no payment step. Apply only through the link on the SEBA site. 1. Open sebamis.sebaonline.org/landrecdpt, the Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam page on the SEBA site, and click the online application link. It leads to formsrec.in/DLRS.
2. Register with a mobile number and email address you check. All messages about the recruitment go to them.
3. Log in, read the instructions, and fill in the form.
4. Upload your photo, signature and RCCC pass certificate.
5. Submit the form and print it. You need the printout at document verification.

Before you submit, use the portal's preview and edit step and read every field. Its instructions say a mistake cannot be corrected by the office later. Keep your password safe too: you need it to log back in and download the form. When we opened the portal on 11 October 2026, its steps were register, log in, preview and edit, then download.

Photo, signature and certificate sizes

• Photo: recent passport-size colour photo, under 35 KB, 150 to 220 pixels wide and 250 to 320 pixels tall.
• Signature: under 30 KB, 150 to 220 pixels wide and 100 to 180 pixels tall.
• RCCC certificate: a JPG under 350 KB, more than 350 pixels wide and 550 pixels tall.

Set the pixel sizes with the image resizer, then get under the KB limit with the image compressor. The certificate must be a JPG, so if you scanned it as a PDF, convert it with the PDF to image tool first.

• NOC from your head of department, if you are in government service

• Proof of any other claim you made in the form

Bring the originals and self-attested copies. If a document is forged or does not match what you uploaded, your candidature is cancelled, and the notice warns of action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
