Applications are open until 25 October 2026 for 17 contract jobs at Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society, the Assam government body that runs Ayushman Asom and PM-JAY in the state. The advert itself names only the posts. The pay is in four separate Terms of Reference files, and it runs from ₹40,000 a month for the two executive posts up to ₹1,00,000 for the single State Anti Fraud Officer seat.
Atal Amrit Abhiyan Recruitment 2026: 17 Posts, ₹40,000 to ₹1 Lakh
Every post asks for experience in health claims, insurance or a related field, so freshers can skip this one. Neither the advert nor the four Terms of Reference sets an age limit or a fee.
Four Posts, Pay From ₹40,000 to ₹1 Lakh
| Post | Seats | Qualification | Experience | Pay a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Medical Officer | 6 | Medical graduate, MBBS preferred, BDS or BAMS can apply | At least 5 to 7 years in health claims processing or audit | ₹50,000 |
| State Anti Fraud Officer (Medical) | 1 | MBBS, registered with the Assam Medical Council, NMC or another state council | 5 years after qualifying, including 2 to 3 years in claims, medical audit, hospital administration or a health scheme | ₹1,00,000 |
| Claims Executive | 9 | Postgraduate in Commerce with at least 50% marks | 3 years in a related sector | ₹40,000 |
| Operations Executive | 1 | Full-time MBA | 2 years in a related sector | ₹40,000 |
All four amounts are consolidated monthly pay. The Terms of Reference mention no allowances on top and do not say how long the contract runs.
Nine Claims Executive Seats Need an M.Com
This is where most of the seats are, and a B.Com alone will not do. The Terms of Reference ask for a postgraduate degree in Commerce with 50% marks and three years in a “related sector”, which they do not define. The work is checking hospital claims against package rates, following up discharge papers and drug bills, and passing files to the medical and finance teams within the turnaround time. Someone from a TPA, an insurer or a hospital billing desk fits that description.
The post is based at the Society’s own office.
BDS and BAMS Graduates Can Try for Medical Officer
The Medical Officer terms say MBBS is preferred, but BDS or BAMS graduates may also apply. The experience line reads “at least 5 - 7 years” in health claims processing or audit. With five years you meet the lower figure. The terms do not say which figure shortlisting will use.
The six officers audit claims, flag suspect cases, run hospital empanelment and de-empanelment, and look into complaints against hospitals. Duty is at the State Health Agency office.
One Anti Fraud Seat at ₹1 Lakh, Assamese Counts
The State Anti Fraud Officer (Medical) is the best-paid post here and the narrowest. It needs an MBBS, registration with the Assam Medical Council or NMC, and five years of experience after qualifying. Two to three of those years must be in claims processing, medical audit, hospital administration or a scheme such as PM-JAY, RSBY, ESIC or CGHS, or at a private TPA or insurer.
Desirable, not required: an MD, MS or DNB, or a PG diploma in hospital administration, public health or forensic medicine, plus knowledge of Assamese and of how district health administration works in Assam. The job includes visits to empanelled hospitals and districts to supervise District Medical Officers, so expect travel.
Operations Executive Wants a Full-Time MBA
One seat, a full-time MBA and two years in a related sector. A distance or correspondence MBA does not meet the words “full time” in the terms. The work is supporting the Operations Manager on claim settlement, scheme rules and reports to the National Health Authority.
Applying on sharecruitment.in
The form is online only, at sharecruitment.in, which the Society links from its recruitment page. You log in with a mobile number: tick the reCAPTCHA, receive an OTP and verify it. The form then asks for your address, your HSLC, HS and graduation marks with percentages, each past job with organisation, designation and dates, and whether you have worked in a health insurance scheme.
The uploads are a passport photo, an ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN or Voter ID), an address proof such as a utility bill or bank statement, all academic marksheets, your HSLC admit card, experience certificates from past employers, your latest offer letter and a CV. Each file must be PDF, JPG or PNG and no bigger than 2 MB, and the CV must be a PDF. A scanned set of marksheets often goes past 2 MB, and the PDF compressor brings it under. For a photo straight off a phone camera, use resize image.
I checked the portal on 11 October without submitting anything. The login page was up, and the upload list asks for a latest employment offer letter and an address proof. Neither the advert nor any of the Terms of Reference mentions those two, so find them before you start.
Interview or Test, Date and Venue Not Announced
Shortlisted candidates will be told the date, time and venue of an interview or test. Bring your original educational, identity and experience certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies. No TA/DA is paid, so travel to the venue is at your own cost.
For other openings across the state, see the latest job posts.

FAQs on Atal Amrit Abhiyan Recruitment 2026
Can I apply for more than one post?
The advert does not say. The form takes one choice under “Post Applied For”, and the portal looks up applications by mobile number. If you fit two posts, decide on one or confirm with the Society before you submit.
Is there an application fee?
None is mentioned in the advert, the Terms of Reference or the form.
Do I need to be from Assam?
No residence rule is stated. The State Anti Fraud Officer post accepts Assam Medical Council or NMC registration and lists Assamese only as desirable.
Checked against the Society’s advertisement (Comp no. I/1796636/2026, dated 9 October 2026), the four Terms of Reference and the sharecruitment.in application portal on 11 October 2026.
