AMSCL Recruitment 2026: 8 Executive and Senior Finance Controller Posts

None of these posts are for freshers. Every Executive post asks for at least 3 years in the same line of work, and the finance post asks for 12. If you hold a B.Pharm, D.Pharm, or a degree or diploma in biomedical engineering and have that experience, read on. If not, the latest government jobs in Assam include openings with a lower bar.

AMSCL Vacancy 2026: Posts and Pay

AMSCL put two advertisements on its website on 23 September 2026: one for the three Executive posts (ECF No. 297418) and one for the Senior Finance Controller. All 8 posts are contractual and based at the corporation's office in Narengi, Guwahati.

One of the 7 Executive posts is kept for a PwD candidate under horizontal reservation. There is no ex-servicemen or RFW quota this time. The notice also says the number of posts may change before selection.

AMSCL Executive Eligibility

All three Executive posts follow the same rule: a degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a diploma plus 5 years. "Relevant" means the exact work the post does, so general office experience will not count.

Executive (Procurement-BME)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation, Bio-Medical Engineering or Medical Electronics from a government-recognised institution, with at least 3 years of experience buying medical equipment for a government or semi-government organisation.
• Or a diploma in the same subjects, with at least 5 years of the same experience.
• Experience with GeM and e-Tender purchases is a plus.

Executive (Procurement-Drugs)

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm from a government-recognised institution, with at least 3 years of experience buying drugs for a government or semi-government organisation.
• Or a D.Pharm, with at least 5 years of the same experience.
• Experience with GeM and e-Tender purchases is a plus.

Executive (Quality Control)

• B.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Pharm or M.Sc from a government-recognised institution, with at least 3 years of quality control work in a pharmaceutical company or a drug testing laboratory.
• Or a D.Pharm, with at least 5 years of the same work.

On top of this, all three posts ask for good written and spoken English and working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Senior Finance Controller Eligibility

• A retired AFS officer who held a post not below Financial Advisor, Senior Financial Advisor or Director Finance before retirement. Senior Financial Advisor or Director Finance is preferred.
• Or a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWA) with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience handling finances in a reputed organisation.
• You must be a resident of Assam and have relevant work experience in Assam.
• Experience with health sector schemes or government finance is a plus.

The notice does not name a document for the residence condition, but a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) is the usual proof in Assam. The job is a fixed-term contract that can be renewed on performance, with duties set by Annexure-II of the Assam Delegation of Financial Rules, 1999.

AMSCL Age Limit

• Executive posts: up to 45 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Senior Finance Controller: up to 65 years. The notice gives the cut-off date as 1 January 2025, which looks carried over from an older advertisement. If you are close to the limit, confirm with AMSCL before applying.

Both advertisements allow the same upper age relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years

AMSCL Salary

The pay is a fixed monthly amount, not a pay scale:

• Executive (all three posts): Rs 42,350 per month
• Senior Finance Controller: Rs 1,10,000 per month, plus other benefits under AMSCL's policies

Selection Process

AMSCL will shortlist applicants and then hold an interview or a selection test. The schedule and the list of provisionally shortlisted candidates will go up on amscl.assam.gov.in. There are no call letters and no TA/DA for attending, so check the site yourself after 11 October.

This is the second try for the Senior Finance Controller post. The advertisement of 4 September 2026 ended with only one shortlisted candidate, so AMSCL dropped that round and advertised again. If you applied in September, apply again now.

1. Go to amscl.in/Recruitment-AMSCL and register.
2. Log in with your registration ID and password.
3. Fill in your details, taking care with the essential qualification, qualification and experience fields.
4. Upload your documents. If a certificate scan is too large, shrink it with the PDF compressor, or resize a photo with the image resizer.
5. Submit the form.
6. Download the submitted form and print it. You must bring this printout to the interview.

Before You Apply

• Your experience certificates will decide this. Make sure they show the number of years and the type of work: buying medical equipment, buying drugs, or quality control.
• If you do not meet the qualification, do not apply. AMSCL can reject any application without giving a reason.
